Dear Sir,

Acting on your instructions of yesterday over

the telephone we beg to inform you that on behalf of the

Government we have closed with Mosers. Bradley & Coy, for

the purchase from then of Twenty thousand "20,000" tons

Aksiki Lump Goal for shipment from Japan during 1917,

deliveries to follow on after completion of the present

contract as per their offer, the terme of which we recapitulate. Pr1001 - Eight Dollars and thirty-five cents *$8.86" Hongkong

Currency per ton of 8840 lbs."English" weighed ex ship at

Hongkong, but Excluding Freight "which includes stevedarage

for discharging" but including Insurance, exchange, tallymon,

weighers and Brokerage on the com1.

Payment 1- by cash in Hongkong within ten days of completion

of disbargo • Messrs. Bradley & Co. stipulate that in the

event of a cargo being lost at sea the sellers do not bind

themselves to make good the quantity of cosi so lost, but

would do their utmost to replace sane, to which condition

subject to your aequiescence we have agreed.
